Operating Structure
The affairs of the SSSF are managed by a board of directors. The board consists of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Managing Executive and six other directors appointed from the membership.
The board is responsible for:
- Defining the strategic mission/direction, in consultation with members.
- Defining issues attention and establishing working subgroups from the membership as needed. Appointing a chairperson for each subgroup and terminating the activities of the subgroups.
- Influencing action on behalf of the working subgroups at National level.
- Reviewing executive support requirments (as provided by Scottish Enterprise).
The board of directors consists of many experienced individuals drawn from a cross-section of the industry.
The SSSF is aided by Scottish Enterprise, who provide a wide range of support.
