Although there is little equipment manufacture to speak of there is a considerable infrastructure engaged in customer support. Indeed, 7 of the top 10 equipment manufacturers have support organisations operating in and from Scotland.
Many of our member companies service wafer fabs throughout Europe.
These customer support organisations range from a few service engineers to a full scale training and applications centre employing 70 people.
There is also a strong base of related companies supporting vacuum pumps, RF generators, mass flow controllers and component cleaning.
